The art of the chalk it was one of the main riches of the Salentino territory as we can appreciate in so many craft shops.
One time, this art was very widespread, today we can find artisan vendors in only four towns in the province of Lecce, we are lucky that San Pietro in Lama is one of them, at home! We have real artists who open the doors of their workshops to show us their craftsmanship, their ovens and their great dexterity and patience.
